The bottle...

Very cool.  It was designed by the same man that designed XS and Fahrenheit among others.  It's a short, skinny bottle with rounded edges.  The fragrance is clear, but the bottle is a red/orange color on one side, and blends down to almost clear glass on the other side.

A.  Pheromones are used as a fixative to extend the pleasure of fragrances. Both the fragrance and the pheromones have similar molecular volatility. Because of this as long as the fine fragrance of REALM is detectable, the benefits of the pheromone component will remain.

  Now for my comments...

 

  The "sixth sense" they keep referring to is actually a little known organ in the middle of your nasal passage called the vomeronasal organ or V.N.O.  This organ was quite active in human beings millions of years ago as we ran around naked- just as it is with animals today.  The problem now is, we cover ourselves up with clothing, so the V.N.O. doesn't sense the pheromones released from our skin.

 

 The people at Erox actually set out trying to make a nature identical human pheromone, and the fragrance came later.  "Nature identical" simply means that the molecules are exactly the same as that of a human, but they come from another source.  I had to ask ~  and I found out that the source is a Mexican Yam "with a little molecular tinkering."

 

  Oh, and for those of you interested in the vailidity of the patents: #5,278,141 and #5,272,134 (Click on the patent numbers and you'll be taking a little trip into the United States Patent Archives).

 

In my opinion...

I really wish they did more for the scent itself- I think it's boring and old.  I do, however, believe the pheromones relax you.  I felt that very subtle sensation before I even knew it was supposed to.
