What's it like?...: It's called a Caribbean Spice. It has cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg to smooth out the other spices.
When to wear it...: This one's pretty versatile. It's light enough to do really well during the day, and complex enough for a night out on the town.
How it lasted on me...: This would be the only shortcoming for Safari. It lasted about half of the day on me- so I definitely use a shower gel!
The bottle...: It's very reminiscent of an expensive, classic rum bottle. Its body is carved with the cross-hatching of an old Winchester rifle butt. The Ralph Lauren crest is positioned prominently on the bottle's face, and a silver top with a tortoise shell design inlay tops it off.
Miscellaneous details...: The ads for Safari for Men were the first ever to have Ralph Lauren himself in them. (He was riding the horse, and in close-up shots- if you saw it.)
If you ask me...: One of my favorites! It warms down really well with almost everybody's skin. It's subtle, but it still has a presence- I like that.
